SWR3 New Pop Festival

For three evenings, the stages of the Kurhaus (spa house), the Festspielhaus (festival theatre) and the Theater belong to musicians who still have their first headline tour ahead of them. You do not need a ticket to be part of it: an open-air stage at the Konzertmuschel in the Kurgarten runs on all three days, free of charge, and for the weekend the town centre turns into “New Pop City”.

The SWR3 New Pop Festival comes to Baden-Baden every September. The radio station SWR3 uses it to introduce international newcomers and puts established artists alongside them. Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars all performed here before they were filling stadiums.^[1] Three venues in the town centre host the concerts: the Kurhaus, the Festspielhaus and the Theater on Goetheplatz.

Gentleman opens the festival on Thursday at the Kurhaus, followed by Clueso with the SWR Big Band at the Festspielhaus and Charlotte Cardin at the Theater. Friday brings FAYAN, Giant Rooks and ADMT, Saturday Holly Humberstone, Sienna Spiro and Luiza. The SWR3 New Pop CUPRA DJ Night with YouNotUs and Topic closes the weekend at the Kurhaus.^[2]

Boy Loco, Nectar Woode, Argyle, Tiffany Aris, Sekou, Connor Skinner, Lusaint and The Bausa play the open-air stage at the Konzertmuschel. Admission there is free, and SWR3 Festivalradio broadcasts the concerts.^[1]

Notes

Tickets went on sale on 9 July 2026 and start at 19 euros. On the day of the concert, a ticket doubles as a travel pass on local public transport in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.^[2] Because of roadworks in the town centre, the organiser recommends travelling by public transport.^[1]
