The Philharmonische Parknacht is an open-air concert given by the Baden-Baden Philharmonic in the Lichtentaler Allee in Baden-Baden. The orchestra plays free of charge in the first section of the avenue, along the museum mile. The stage stands in front of the Sintersteinbrunnen, and the giant trees of the historic landscape park are lit up in colour.
Recent History
The Parknacht was last held outdoors on 30 July 2022, which was also Pavel Baleff’s final concert as principal conductor.[1] Persistent rain led the organisers to cancel the 2023 edition, planned for 29 July.[2] In 2024 an unfavourable forecast moved the concert into the Weinbrennersaal of the Kurhaus (spa house).[3] The town’s spending freeze cancelled the 2025 edition.[4] By early July 2026 the Philharmonic had announced no date for a 2026 Parknacht, which shows that it will not take place in 2026 either.
