Hellers Teabar is a tea bar on Sophienstraße in Baden-Baden serving Japanese speciality teas and selling loose organic teas.[1] The tea bar belongs to HellersTea, Florian Heller’s brand, which got its start in Baden-Baden.[2]
What the tea bar serves
Japanese speciality teas are the focus: organically grown matcha and houjicha as well as loose organic teas, served hot or cold, plain or as a latte.[1] Specialty coffee, house-made drinks and pastries round out the menu. By its own account HellersTea deliberately picks organically grown varieties and goes “for clear flavours rather than a large selection”.[3] Beyond the counter, the company sells tea, matcha and accessories online.[3]
History
Florian Heller comes from Baden-Baden and started HellersTea there as an online business only. When a shop unit fell vacant in the town, it became the first shop, a pop-up that in Heller’s words “quickly turned into a meeting point for many people in Baden-Baden”.[2] Baden-Baden was followed by a trial run in Stuttgart, and at the end of April 2018 the first permanent tea bar opened on Lammstraße in Karlsruhe.[4] The company still has its base there.[3] A second Stuttgart branch was added shortly before the coronavirus pandemic and later given up.[3]
In June 2026 HellersTea opened a shop in Baden-Baden again, at Sophienstraße 4. The regional tourism database lists it as a pop-up store.[1] The same premises previously housed the fashion house Hartwig Möller.
