Juwelier Nittel is a watch and jewellery shop on Lichtentaler Straße in Baden-Baden. It belongs to Juwelier Nittel GmbH of Freiburg.
Range
The shop carries watches by Rolex, Chopard, Breitling, Omega, Tudor and Glashütte Original. Its jewellery brands include Wellendorff, Pomellato, Marco Bicego, FOPE and Ole Lynggaard, alongside wedding and engagement rings.[1]
The company
Juwelier Nittel GmbH was founded in Freiburg in 1934 and is now in its third generation of family ownership. The Second World War broke out shortly after the founding, and the goldsmiths buried their tools and valuables in a garden. In 1951 these became the foundation for rebuilding the business.[2] Besides Baden-Baden, the company runs its original store on Kaiser-Joseph-Straße in Freiburg.[1]
Taking over Thoma
For more than 100 years, Lichtentaler Straße 5 was home to the jeweller’s Thoma, run by the Degenhardt family and selling watches and jewellery. In autumn 2023 the business passed to Nittel, which continues it at the same address. Part of the staff stayed on.[3]
