The Kurgarten (formerly also called the Promenade[1]) is the park in front of the Kurhaus (spa house). It is bounded by the Trinkhalle (pump room) to the north, the Kaiserallee to the east, the Kurhauskolonnaden and the Werderstraße to the south, and the neoclassical building of the Kurhaus to the west. Numerous events take place in the Kurgarten, for example the New Pop Festival, the Oldtimer Meeting and the Christmas market.
