Few motifs are as omnipresent, versatile and expressive as the flower. With the major special exhibition Bloom up! The Language of Flowers, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden devotes itself to this motif in all its complexity.
The exhibition places contemporary artistic positions alongside art-historical objects from the collections of the Badisches Landesmuseum, opening up new perspectives on the cultural, social and personal meanings of the flower. It is a major special exhibition by the state of Baden-Württemberg and is curated by Christina Lehnert and Christiaan Veldman.
